Blue Ocean Projects Limited has developed a new concept for improving the mechanical connections of cables from the seabed onto offshore structures, such as power cables being connected to offshore wind turbines.

The new concept is aimed at providing quicker and easier installation and improved cable protection during operations.

We are currently designing and building a full size prototype to undertake land trials and prove the concept.

This phase of the project is partially supported by an R&D grant from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).

It is intended that we will then be able to supply the concept as a product into the rapidly growing offshore renewable energy market.
